Filter Medium

The filter medium must ensure high filtration efficiency for the specific dust type and durability suited to the installed cleaning system.

  • Permeability measures the flow rate through the medium per unit area at a fixed ΔP.
  • Weight (grammage) defines the material amount per unit area.
  • Filtration efficiency indicates dust retention for a given particle size, generally inversely proportional to permeability.
  • Surface treatments enhance media properties through specialised processes.

Nano-fibre treatment involves the application of a web-like layer of fibres with diameters smaller than 0.5 μm. This thin layer is applied to the surface of standard spunbonded media, enabling a combination of low emissions and high air flow rate.
