WAMGROUP is committed to environmental protection as a cornerstone of quality of life and sustainable development. The company seeks to distinguish itself from competitors by using its environmental policy as a strategic advantage, catering to the growing demands of an eco-conscious global clientele.

global goals
At WAMGROUP, we focus on developing sustainable business models and driving action at all levels to combat climate change and safeguard the environmentfor future generations. Each production facility within the Group is responsible for its own emissions, meaning any operational issues or maintenance lapses could result in pollutant release. To manage this, emissions are closely monitored through regular sampling. For thermal power plant emissions, annual flue gas tests are conducted. To minimise negative impacts, we perform preventive maintenance on dust extraction and abatement systems, along with periodic checks as mandated by regulations. Thanks to our in-house production of dust collectors and nano-fibre filter media, the emissions detected are often well below legal limits.
To mitigate the negative impacts of electricity use, WAMGROUP implements a number of actions:
- control of energy consumption with possible reduction of losses or waste;
- use of energy from renewable sources;
- implementing self-production and consequently self-consumption of electricity;
- optimization of consumption;
- achieving 25% energy self-production at most sites;
- reduction of methane consumption through the implementation of underfloor heating systems on all new buildings, which guarantee greater well-being and significantly reduce methane consumption;
- reduction of methane consumption by installing remote control management;
- LED lighting system replacement plan;
- improving monitoring of energy consumption to reduce waste and evaluate savings actions, by installing a system for monitoring and measuring electrical parameters aimed at:
- control of consumption reduction actions;
- management of alarms on abnormal consumption;
- periodic analysis of consumption
In the energy-intensive metalworking industry, WAMGROUP stands out by using its environmental policy as a key differentiator, particularly as customers become increasingly focused on global environmental protection. Achieving meaningful, lasting improvements requires the commitment and involvement of every function within the organisation, from workers to managers, all under the guidance of top management. In this context, the management has defined an environmental policy that balances the need for economic growth with the responsibility to ensure sustainable social development.
